Make a weekend of it with three nights in La Tania, epic skiing or snowboarding, and the chance to take on the Three Valleys Challenge.
You asked for it. Here it is. Our first ever Virgin Adventures winter snow challenge.
For three nights, a chalet in La Tania will be home. Tucked into a small mountain village and surrounded by world-class terrain, we'll be right in the heart of the Three Valleys — over 600km of linked pistes connecting Courchevel, Méribel and Val Thorens.
You already ski or snowboard. Now come and do something brilliant with it.
Whether you’re happiest flying down blacks, love a long red or could happily spend all day cruising blues and greens, you’re welcome.
Because this isn’t about being the fastest person on the mountain.
It’s about finding your people, building your team and seeing just how far your skis, or snowboard, can take you.
And towards the end of the week, we’ll take on the first ever Virgin Adventures Three Valley Rally. Three valleys. One day. A frankly unnecessary number of kilometres.

1.The Three Valley Rally
Three valleys. One day. One big mountain challenge. Courchevel. Méribel. Val Thorens. Your team. Your route. Your challenge. The Three Valley Rally isn’t a race. It’s about stamina, distance and covering as much of one of the world’s greatest linked ski areas as your legs will allow. Ski it. Snowboard it. Just get out there and see how far you can go.
2.Find your people
You don’t need to arrive with a ready-made ski or snowboard group. That’s the point. At the start of the week, we’ll hit the slopes together to get a feel for everyone's style and match you with group members at your exact level and pace. Black-run hunters. Red-run regulars. Blue and green cruisers. You’ll find your people, build your team and start plotting your Rally route.
3.More than a skiing trip
During the day, your teams head out across the mountain. Then the skis and boards come off. We meet for après-ski, compare kilometres, discover who took the wrong lift and listen to stories that become noticeably more impressive with every retelling. Then it’s back to the chalet together. Afternoon tea. Three-course dinner. Local wine. Once the boots are off, everyone’s equal.

Make your way to our chalet in the centre of La Tania and arrive before 18:00 for our Adventure briefing.
Meet your fellow Adventurers.
Eat.
Drink.
Start working out who looks suspiciously competitive.

Day 2: Skiing
Four days to explore the Three Valleys.
Ski together.
Snowboard together.
Change groups.
Find the people who move at your level and your pace.
Some Adventurers will be hunting out black runs.
Some will be covering mile after mile of reds.
Others will be happily cruising greens and blues.
All of them are welcome.
Because achievement looks different on different skis. And boards.

Day 3: The Three Valley Rally
This is it.
Teams ready.
Routes planned.
Skis and boards on.
Your challenge is to reach all three valleys and cover as much mountain as you can in one day.
This is not about speed.
It’s about stamina, distance, teamwork and good route planning.
If your challenge is to cross the Three Valleys on greens and blues, that’s your achievement.
If your team wants to attack reds and blacks and clock up serious kilometres, that’s yours.
The Three Valley Rally is designed to be achievable for confident, independent skiers and snowboarders.
Ski or ride safely.
Stay within your ability.
Follow the Rally rules and mountain conditions.
Get back to La Tania with tired legs and a very good story.
Rules will apply.
Prizes will be awarded.
Tall stories will be heavily scrutinised.

Day 4: Depart La Tania
One final chalet breakfast.
Then it’s time to leave La Tania.
Tired legs.
New ski and snowboard friends.
And several hundred kilometres of mountain stories that will almost certainly improve with every retelling.

What to expect
This adventure is hosted, not herded.
You need to be able to ski or snowboard independently to join us. This is not a learn-to-ski or learn-to-snowboard — lessons are not included. But you absolutely do not need to be an expert. Expect a genuine mix of skiing and snowboarding abilities. Some Adventurers will love blacks. Some will spend their days on reds. Others will happily cruise greens and blues.
Your level doesn’t determine whether you belong here. It simply helps us find the right people for you to ski or ride with.
We’ll help Adventurers connect with others of a similar ability and pace, build teams and create the shared challenge around the Three Valley Rally. There are no compulsory guided ski or snowboard days. You choose your routes and stay within your own ability.
Our Virgin Adventures Hosts are there to bring the group together, help build teams and create the shared adventure around the adventure.

Meeting at our chalet in the centre of La Tania.

Nearest airport
Geneva (GVA)
Generally the best range of flights and transfer options. Roughly 2–2½ hours transfer.
Lyon–Saint Exupéry (LYS)
Another option, particularly for scheduled flights. Around 2–2½ hours transfer.

Airport transfers
As there are multiple airports serving this region, and a small group size, airport transfer are not included.
Accommodation type
Stay in a traditional Alpine chalet exclusively for the group. Expect cosy communal spaces, a sociable dining area, ski and snowboard storage and mountain views. Rooms are available in shared double, twin and bunk configurations across several floors. Some rooms feature characterful eaves and beams, with slightly reduced head height in places.
How we will get around
La Tania is compact and easy to explore on foot, with lifts, ski and snowboard hire, bars and the village centre close by.
On the mountain, your Three Valleys lift pass opens up over 600km of linked pistes, allowing skiers and snowboarders to travel between La Tania, Courchevel, Méribel, Val Thorens and beyond.
Lift pass is not included: everyone chooses the extent of the pass they want to purchase.
For trips beyond La Tania, a free local ski bus links the village with Le Praz and the other Courchevel villages.
We’re (almost) the full package!
We like to keep things simple, so our cost price covers almost everything you’ll need. Occasionally there may be a few exceptions, but we’ll always make these clear in advance.
In some destinations, country-specific taxes can’t be included in the adventure price and must be paid for by the individual. For full details, please refer to the “What’s Included / What’s Not Included” section.

Do I need any specific experience?
Yes.
You need to be able to ski or snowboard independently, use the relevant lifts and safely choose pistes appropriate to your ability. You do not need to ski black runs. You do not need to snowboard at high speed. You do not need to be the person waiting outside the lift station at 08:29. But you do need to be able to get yourself safely around the mountain.
The Three Valley Rally is designed so teams can plan a challenge appropriate to their skiing or snowboarding ability.

Whether you’re bringing your own skis or snowboard or hiring equipment in resort, arrive ready for proper mountain days and cosy chalet nights.

Expected weather conditions
January is proper winter in the Alps: cold, snowy and often brilliantly bright.
Expect temperatures around or below freezing in the village, with colder conditions higher up the mountain.
You could enjoy crisp blue-sky days, fresh snowfall, low cloud or a mix of all three across the adventure, so warm, waterproof layers are essential.
Weather and snow conditions can never be guaranteed this far ahead. We’ll share a more detailed forecast closer to departure.

Are there any restrictions of who can join this adventure
You must be 18 years or older at the time of the Adventure.
You must be able to ski or snowboard independently and safely navigate pistes appropriate to your ability.
This is not a learn-to-ski or learn-to-snowboard Adventure.
You should be medically fit to take part and comfortable spending full days in a winter mountain environment.
You are responsible for skiing or snowboarding within your ability and following local piste, lift and mountain safety guidance.
Group size
Expect around 20 Adventurers plus Virgin Adventures support staff.
Small enough to get to know everyone.
Big enough to find your ski, or snowboard, people.
What will I be eating?
You’ll be well fed from the moment you arrive.
Your chalet stay is half-board, with breakfast each morning, afternoon tea when you return from the mountain and a hearty three-course dinner with local wine each evening.
One evening, we’ll head out for a proper Alpine classic: a traditional fondue dinner in a mountain restaurant.
Expect melted cheese, good stories and the sort of evening that may require an extra notch on the salopettes the next day.
