Cycle Cambodia - River to Ruins
Ride from the Mekong to the hidden stone temples of Angkor Wat on an unforgettable cycling journey.
An epic cycling journey from Phnom Penh to Angkor, taking you deep into rural Cambodia. Pedal through villages, jungle tracks, and countryside roads before ending the adventure with a meaningful bike donation that leaves a lasting legacy.
This is a journey that unfolds mile by mile, from the energy of Cambodia’s capital to the quiet rhythm of life beyond the tourist trail. Over 300km, you’ll cycle through rice paddies, forests, banana palms, and friendly villages where daily life rolls on much as it has for generations.
Along the way, you’ll experience Cambodia’s warmth, resilience, and rich culture. From sacred temples and bustling towns to moments of reflection that bring the country’s recent history into focus. The riding is challenging and rewarding, offering a real sense of progression as the landscape slowly changes beneath your wheels.
You’ll be fully supported throughout, with experienced guides and vehicle backup allowing you to focus on the ride, recovery, and the camaraderie that builds with each shared day on the road. Accommodation reflects the journey itself, a mix of comfortable hotels and one simple guesthouse, bringing balance between comfort and authenticity.
The adventure culminates in Siem Reap, where we celebrate together, having completed a journey that’s as meaningful as it is memorable.
On the final day of our ride, we cycle to Sam Rong to meet the team at the Angkor Kids Centre, where we donate our bikes to their new owners. For many of the children, these bikes are truly transformational, providing a safe, reliable way to travel to school and continue their education.

What to expect
This is a physically demanding but deeply rewarding cycling adventure. Expect long days in the saddle, warm temperatures, and mixed terrain, from paved roads to dusty backroads and rural tracks.

What are the sleeping arrangements?
Our adventures take us far and wide; we see the world with new friends and take on challenges that take us out of our comfort zones. Part of the experience comes from living simply, honouring local culture, and embracing new environments. This can mean sleeping in (very) close quarters, from a tent under the stars, a boat cabin on the water, a hammock in the trees, or occasionally a very nice hotel. Shared spaces help foster connections; through shared laughs and whispered secrets, we form incredible friendships.
Accommodation type
Shared rooms in hotels, 6 nights in comfortable hotels, 1 night in a simple guesthouse during the more remote part of the journey.
Sharing rooms with your fellow adventures is part of the adventure. Each hotel room usually sleeps 2, sometimes more. Couples together. Friends together. Solo travellers will share on the basis of same gender. We will accommodate twins where possible for solo travellers, occasionally you may share a double bed with your buddy.
Limited single supplements available (at cost) on request.
